Leslie "Dean" Briggs

leslie briggs

August 3, 1961 ~ December 13, 2025

Born in: Buncombe County, North Carolina
Resided in: Fletcher, North Carolina

Dean Briggs, 64, passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2025.

He was a devoted husband to Marilyn Briggs and a proud father to Josh, Patience, Cody, Dillon, and Jade. He was Grampy to his grandchildren Jaidyn, Alyssa, Rose, Natalie, Ben, Dakotah, Kayson, and Skeeter, a role he loved deeply.

He is also survived by his brother, John Briggs; his sons-in-law, Will and Ronnie; and loved family members from Marilyn’s side of the family, including Danny, Addie, Carolyn, Ginger, Shelly, Brian, Collean, Amanda, Ryan, Amber, Layla, and Les, along with many nieces and nephews.

Dean owned and operated Briggs Home Maintenance Services, where he built a reputation for strong work ethic and quality craftsmanship. He was especially known for his custom sheet metal fabrications, work he took pride in and that will remain on homes for years to come.

He will be remembered for his jokes, told purely to get a rise out of people. Teasing was how he showed love. If he messed with you, it meant you mattered.

Dean loved God and lived his faith quietly, through his actions.

Above all, he loved his family more than anything, and that love will carry on through them.

A Memorial Service will be held starting at 1:00 PM on Saturday, 20 at Asheville Family Church, 530 New Leicester Hwy, Asheville, NC 28806.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family.
