    Dear Family;
    As Lillian’s roommate at Western Carolina, I was shocked and saddened to read of Lillian’s passing in the newspaper.
    Lillian was very sweet, kind, funny and could tell a great story. We had a lot of fun together. She invited me home with her and we enjoyed pizza with coke, two of our favorite foods! We also worked on school assignments together.
    I’ll always love Lillian!
    With deepest sympathy, Virginia Elaine Riddle Hunt, WCU Class of 1970 (Riddle in yearbook), retired from McDowell Co. Schools.
