Aunt Lillian – Such an elegant lady! Always with a sweet smile, a complimentary word, and a love that went beyond measure. I enjoyed our weekly phone talks and how you loved to hear about what was going on with life. You will be truly missed but I know you’re in a much sweeter place. It was an honor and privilege to know such a precious lady.
To Bob & Alma Shuford, and family, and also Betty.
I am so sorry to hear of Lillians passing.
She was such a sweet, wonderful person. I will never forget her. She would come to Merrill Lynch at Christmas Time, when we offered our yearly free calling to anyone in the world, and call Betty Jean.
I looked forward to seeing her.
Now that I’m working out of Winston-Salem, I have missed that.
I know you all took wonderful care of her, and now she is out of pain, and enjoying her rewards in heaven.
I will keep you all in my prayers, during this difficult time.
Love,
Judy
Dear Bob, Alma,Bette Jeanne & family,
So sorry to hear of Lillian’s passing but it is a comfort to know she is at home & out of her suffering. She was a dear lady.
We love you.
Enka Village will never be the same. I remember what great friends you and my Mother were when you both worked at the telephone office at the Enka Plant. The visit I promised you a few weeks ago will just have to be postponed for a while.
My deepest sympathy to the family of Lillian Dillingham. I was out of town last week and just heard of her passing. I was a member of Oak Forest Presbyterian Church with her for many years and have very fond memories of Christmas caroling at her house with the choir. She and my grandparents worked at American Enka together, and she and my grandmother were both active members of the 60 +/- group at Oak Forest. She was such a saintly lady with a great sense of humor and always a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
