Linda Sutton Rector

Linda Sutton Rector, 75, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. Mrs. Rector was born in Des Moines, IA and was a daughter of the late William Algerine and Alma Louise Adrain Sutton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip E. Rector who died in 2011, and by her brother, William A. Sutton, Jr. Mrs. Rector was a Girl Scout Leader, an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a volunteer at the Mission Hospital Gift Shop for a number of years. She was a homemaker, and an excellent seamstress who enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hyder and husband, Michael; grandsons, Andrew Phillip Hyder and Zachary Stephen Hyder; sister, Carol S. Radford; and brother, Sidney Lee Sutton. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Lewis Memorial Park with the Rev. Charlie Sams and Chaplain Butch Stillwell officiating.
