Lottie Roberts Montgomery, 95, formerly of Buncombe County, died Sunday, September 5, 2004, in a Florence, SC nursing home.
A native of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late Jess and Augusta Parton Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Poley Montgomery, a son Hoyt G. Montgomery, and two grandchildren, Donna Montgomery and Edgar A. Montgomery, Jr. She was retired from American Enka and was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Lagrange of Florence; one son, Edgar A. Montgomery, Sr. of Laredo, TX; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service.
