Lucille Riddle

Lucille White Riddle, 85, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Riddle was born in Arden, NC to the late Roy Mack White and Margaret Ball White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ted “Pete” Roland Riddle and a son, Conney Lee Riddle.

Lucille worked as a caregiver/CNA for over 30 years and retired at Appalachian Hall. She was a member of Hoopers Creek Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She also enjoyed the outdoors and her family was everything to her especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister, Lorraine Clark; two daughters, Sheila Baker (Tony) and Pamela Justice; five grandchildren, Amanda Sanders, Adam Riddle (Samantha), Colbey Baker (Cara), Lacie Rabb (Eric) and Landon Justice; eight great grandchildren, Josiah Baker, Nathan Baker, Judah Rabb, Isaac Sanders, Kalee Sanders, Hannah Sanders, Ezekiel Riddle and Jenson Riddle and several extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church with Pastors Phillip Youngblood and Roy Waldroup officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Church prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for all that Four Seasons Hospice did for them and Lucille these last few months.
