Guestbook

  1. Dear Sandy, Bill and Amanda,
I was sadden to hear of the loss of your mother. She was such a kind, loving, caring and sweet lady. I was oftened amazed at the amount of work she used to do around her house. I especially remember some very funny christmas presents showing up at our house on Christmas morning. She will be missed but we know that she has gone to that wonderful place we call Heaven and that she is now sitting at the right hand of God. She is finally at peace and health. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. May God Bless You.

  2. Dear Sandra and Amanda,
I had the pleasure of being your Aunt Lillian’s nurse when she was at home. Laura was the chief cook and bottle washer, and Mabel, though not well herself was busy taking care of all the business, shopping, etc. I never walked into that home without being offered love, food, the best sweet tea in the world, and hearing about you two! Then, I worked a short time at the Oaks, and spent time with Laura, gave her special attention because of my love for your family (even called Mabel for her a couple times) and then got to see her when you brought her to visit Laura. Please allow me to share with you my sympathy and fondest memories of ‘The Three Justice Sisters’. They were truly a blessing to me, and I know, without a doubt, your mom and aunts would’ve never made it without your support. Having parents both 80 now, I know the responsibility, but you were the only ones for all three of them, and you were their world. I’m sure the the Lord is holding her now, without pain, suffering, sorrow….May He comfort you now. Love, Janet (RN

  3. Aunt Mabel was one of the favorite people in our lives. She was loved and will be missed by myself (nephew) and my wife. We love you Sandra, God Bless.

  4. Mabel was my nurse during the years I was a patient at Asheville Urological Associates. Dr. George Gilbert often, and many times, bragged about Mabel to me. He not only told me that she was a wonderful nurse; but said that she saved the office there alot of money when she ordered supplies for them. Whenever I would have an IVP procedure, Mabel always brought coffee and doughnuts into Dr. Gilbert’s office for us to enjoy as we talked after the procedure. I thought alot of Mabel. It was Mabel who got me to go to Brooks-Howell Home for an interview in 1981. . .and I did; and ended up working there for almost 14 years. I became very close to her (former) sister-in-law, Sally (Justice) Middleton and her husband, Walter. I will always remember Mabel with much love, and many fond memories. I did not learn of her death until I read it in the newspaper after the Memorial Service this evening
(Sunday, June 9th). My thoughts and deepest sympathy go out to you, her family.

    Karen D. Graham, R.N.

  5. Sandy, Both of us send our condolence to you and the family. Mable was a inspiration to us. I will always remember her as lying all proped up reading her Bible, and anything I ever ask her about the Bible she could answer it and back it up with scriptures. It was very obvious that she loved the Lord with all her heart.
It was a real blessing to have know such a wonderful lady.
    Love to you &the family.
    Jean Tate & Jean Parker
