Mabel Webb Duckett, 89, of Leicester, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

An Asheville native, Mabel was a daughter of the late Berder and Nellie McDowell Webb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Wayne Duckett; sister, Alice Gillespie; and brother, Grady Webb.

She was a longtime member of Big Sandy United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Duckett is survived by her sons, Steve Duckett and wife Erin McCord Duckett, and Kevin Duckett; granddaughter, Jessica McMahan and husband Dylan McMahan; and nephew, Hooman Webb (Kelley).

Mrs. Duckett’s family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Big Sandy United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Lisa Beth White will officiate. Interment will then take place in the church cemetery.

  2. Condolences Family. Mabel was one of my favorite people and I loved her dearly. I’ll always treasure all of my memories from childhood, adulthood and my last visit with her this past year. I loved to laugh with Mabel!! She was so much fun!! I love you all so much. I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there for you all. Lots of healing love sent your way.
