Macie "Mae" Parker Maney

Macie “Mae” Parker Maney, age 75, was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly as she went to be with Jesus on December 21st, 2024.

She was born April 6th, 1949 and resided in Asheville, NC the majority of her life. Surviving are her adopted children, Tami Parton and Phillip Parton, and her grandchildren, Ashleigh Parton and Tyler Parton.

Mae will be remembered as a hardworking, devoted, kind-hearted, determined, loving, and selfless Nana, coworker, neighbor and friend.

Mae worked until her last breath at Cracker Barrel and she was a “Nana” to many of her coworkers who she spent many years working with. Mae was known for her dedication to her family and how deeply she loved them, for her home cooked meals that fed many, the way she opened up her home to her neighbors, the love she had for all her dogs and even the ones that weren’t hers, the warm cup of coffee she always had in hand, and her big hugs that included her even bigger smile. She was a force of nature in the way she loved and lived.

Mae had chosen to be cremated and her family has chosen to spread her ashes in the places she loved most which included Maine and the beach. Those that loved her can keep her memory alive as they plant a garden or listen to the wind chimes as they drink a cup of coffee which are all things she loved. Please continue to think of her family as they continue to miss her daily.
