Mae Deal Ramey Kauffman, 88, of Asheville, died on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.
Born in Franklin, NC, Mrs. Kauffman was a daughter of the late John Baxter and Effie Mae Henry Deal. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Neville Ramey and William Kauffman, and all of her siblings.
Mrs. Kauffman worked for the Hot Shot Cafe for thirty-eight years.
Mrs. Kauffman is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ramey; her grandson, the love of her life, John G. Ramey and his wife, Andree Donald Ramey; her son, Bill Ramey and wife, Tina; and former daughter-in-law Donna Redden and their four children.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Green Hills Cemetery with Chaplain Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave.
