  16. To my adopted sisters – I am sad about Mamie’s passing, but know she is in a much better place. I will never forget and will always cherish all the good times we have shared growing up. I have so many fond memories of being at your house – and of course of getting caught – doing some of the things we did. Your mom and dad were very special to me as well as to Debrea and Revonda. I love you all very much. Rest in knowing God will shower you with blessings for all you have done for your parents. I love you all!

  17. Dear Janice, Jennifer, Teresa, & Cindy,

I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I just found this out today. Mamie was so very special to me, because she was my mother’s dearest & very best friend. My mother was Lucille Suttles. I know you all remember her. She worked with Mamie for many, many years at American Enka, & they became best of friends. Mama cherished EVERY moment she spent with Mamie. When they weren’t at work, they would talk on the phone for hours. I have special memories of coming to your house with my mom. Mama & Mamie would always be laughing about something! Mama’s been in Heaven for 12 years now, & I know she was standing there to welcome Mamie in with open arms & a HUGE hug! I’m writing this with tears streaming down my face, but what a WONDERFUL time the two of them must be having together. Oh, the stories they must be sharing. I can almost hear their laughter now. I hope you can take comfort in knowing we will see them again one day.
I pray God will hold each of you in His arms & heal your hearts & help you get through this very difficult time. You will all be in my prayers.

  18. I love all of you. There are so many fond memories of aunt Mamie, reunions at the house and the old home place. It is never easy loosing a mother, just look to God for your grace and comfort. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I enjoyed being with all of you, before, during and after the funeral. You are all are special.
