  1. Dear Robin,Max,Amy,Jeremy,and Family
I am so sorry for your loss. I have been trying to think of just the right words to say. It’s hard to put into words what is in my hart. I loved Margaret my friend and respected Margaret my boss. I will never forget her. We worked hard in Child Nutrition, but we also laughed and had fun. Margaret would poke fun at me and we would laugh. What a joy she was to my life. I have lost my friend and I miss her already. I love you all and if I can do anything for you, please call me. ‘Poopsy’, you take care of yourself.

  2. I worked with Margaret for many years and her cheerful and compassionate disposition meant so much to me as a former principal. She is greatly respected and loved by those who worked with her in schools across Buncombe County. Patsy Higdon

  3. Dear Robin and Family,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I was truly blessed to have Margaret in my life. Margaret gave me so much while I worked as her administrative assistant in the BC Child Nutrition Department. She freely gave friendship, knowledge and opportunities not only to myself, but several others whom she hired. I can see her now surrounded by many young precious angels, as I saw her many times when she was giving of herself to the children of Buncombe County Schools. Her smile and love of life will remain etched in my heart and mind forever.

    Vicky Moore

Margaret was a great boss, teacher, mentor, role model and friend to many of us. Both professionally and personally, Margaret shared her wisdom and experiences with me and for that I am grateful. In both my work life and personal life, I still use ‘Margaretisms’ daily. I feel truly blessed to have had such a wonderful woman influence my life in her postive way. Your family is in our familes thoughts and prayers.

  6. It was a joy to get to see Margaret again last June when she drove Aunt Mary to Columbia to see my dad when he was in the hospital. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends during this difficult time. I know that she will be greatly missed and watching down over everyone from heaven.

  7. I would like to express my condolences to Margarets’ family. She was a beautiful person from the inside out. While I was working as Child Nutrition Director in Henderson County we were in contact frequently to share information, thoughts and ideas. Margaret was a hard worker and expected the same from her staff and cafeteria employees. She truly had love in her heart for the children of Buncombe County. I will miss her bubbling personality and smiling face. May God bless you.

My sincere sympathy goes to all her family and friends.

  18. To the family of Margaret,

I am so sorry for your loss. Margaret was a wonderful person and I had the pleasure and challenge of working with her for many years. As a food service director, she was one of the most dedicated and motivated people I have dealt with. She was direct and knew what she wanted and always held the highest of expectations. She was quick witted and always demanded the best – the best in herself, her employees and from her vender’s.Margaret pushed folks to perform and to do the best they could at all times. I will miss Margaret.I know that my circle of life has been blessed because she was a part of it.

Precious Baby Aliza Margaret, your grandmother has walked a high road before you as an example. In order for you to travel successfully in her footsteps, you will need to model her strength, perseverance, love for mankind and love of God. My prayer for you precious little one, is that God surround you with his angels and bless you with many of the wonderful talents and qualities we all found in your grandmother.

Family I will pray that you will choose to lean on God for the strength and comfort in this time of sorrow. There are many wonderful promises to claim from the Bible and Margaret would want you to claim each and every one of them for yourselves.

May God Bless you and may you feel his love and presence.

  23. I am so sorry for your loss. Margaret was truly an exceptional person. I had the privilege of working for her at BC Child Nutrition, where she taught me many things; and also being in group Bible study with her at BSF, where once again her knowledge helped me so much. I will always remember her infectious smile and her love for the children and their well-being. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

  24. Robin,
My prayers were with you and your family on Monday as I traveled even though I could not attend Margaret’s service. I am really glad Pam was able to attend and pay our respects and show our caring for her. Know that you will remain in our prayers. Praise God that Margaret’s pain and challenges are over and she is with Jesus!!!!!

  25. I am deeply sorry for the loss of Margaret. I knew Margaret in High School and she was godmother to my oldest daughter, Leslee. We had not been in touch in over 30 years, but she was an important part of a time in my life. She was truly a lady of integrity and purpose. Our loss is heavens gain.

  26. Margaret and I worked together in Oxford. We shared many good times and some very sad ones as well. We kept in touch for several years after we both left the Granville County School System but had not seen or heard from each other for some time. I did not now how ill she was. I am deeply touched by her death and send my deepest sympathy to her family.
