Margaret Elizabeth Spurgin of Asheville died Sunday, January 25, 2004, following a brief illness.
A native of Burke County, she was preceded in death by her parents Junius and Mary Garrison and her husband Thomas Spurgin.
Margaret was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran church where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21. Pastor John Propst will officiate.
She is survived by her dear friend C. Russell McKenzie of Asheville; a son Richard Koehler and his wife Carolyn of Alexandria, VA; two daughters, Linda Robinson and her husband Larry of Asheville and Pamela Lyons and Allen Hoover of Charlottesville, VA; a brother James Garrison and his wife Audrey of Palm Springs, FL; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
