  28. I am truly sorry for your families loss! Mrs. Roberts was my teacher at Fairview Elementary and one of my favorite teachers growing up! She was such a remarkable woman and teacher and I have always looked up to her! Praying that God will comfort you all during this difficult time!

  29. Our prayers are with this wonderful family. We love Margaret and will miss her, her smiling face and beautiful voice.

  30. Mrs. Roberts was honestly one of the best teachers I ever had. The year I ‘graduated’ from Fairview I had the privilege of writing a letter to the school board to support her Teacher of the Year nomination. I also fondly remember how, when we were acting up as a class, she would playfully put one fist on top of the other and rotate them back and forth, then pull them apart quickly as if she were ready to wring our necks if we didn’t settle down! I’ll never forget her exasperated, but still loving, look, accompanied by eyes rolled up and a sweet laugh! My sincere condolences to all her family and friends.

  31. Phil and Family,
Glad I had the opportunity to meet your mother. She was a very sweet woman and we love you all very much. Very happy to know that she is with the Lord and we will all be together soon. You will be in our prayers.

  32. Our sympathy, thoughs and prayers are with the family! Margaret and her big smile will be gratefully missed

  33. Hey buddy. So sorry to hear about your mom. I know your heart is sad. Mine too. She was an awesome lady. I think back to how many times I stayed in Laurel Haven in the log house. Snow on the ground and a big fire. Mal and Margaret taking care of us. Playing Yahtzee most of the night. I loved those days. I love your family. Be as good as you can and stay strong. I’ll be thinking about all of you.

  34. I will miss Margaret she was a good friend to my sister Betty they were very close. I had a friendship with her too. She was a smart lady & a good witness for her Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless all her remaining family. Her journey is over & she is now resting with Jesus.

  35. Mrs. Roberts was my teacher in 1981. She was a great teacher . She had a kind loving spirit. Much love . Deepest sympathies

  36. Mrs. Roberts was the most wonderful teacher. I had her in 1997 when she taught fifth grade with Mr. Bailey. I would run into her here and there and she always remembered me. She had a way of teaching and making her students feel so special. She is where she belongs because she is a true angel. Thank you Mrs. Roberts…. You were instrumental in my life as a young girl and adult. I will pray for your family and all those suffering your loss much like I am.

Rest In Peace and The Lord Be With You….

  37. Mrs. Roberts was my favorite teacher. I have the fondest memories of her and what she taught me. I am forever going to miss her. She gave me the skills I needed to love education and want to have a successful life. May God Bless her and her loved ones. I surely will miss her.

  38. Margaret was a special friend; when I came to Asheville we talked as if I had never been away. She was loving, sweet, intelligent, and kind; these influences from a friend last a life time. We graduated together from A.C. Reynolds and played basketball together – we had a wonderful time. I know that you will miss her so much and pray that memories of her will lighten your days ahead. God bless all of you.

  39. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Roberts. She was a wonderful teacher and such a kind lady. When I was the nurse for Fairview, she was one of my favorite teachers; always concerned for the well-being of her children. We spent many days chatting about the kids, and other things. I remember her with great fondness, and am so sorry for the family and community’s loss.

  40. I have known the Kirstein family for over 50 years and the news of Margaret’s passing is very sad. My Mother, the late Blaine B. Huntley, and Margaret taught at Fairview Elementary for many years together and were very close. I have personally known Tom, the late Nancy Kirstein Race and Coy Kirstein for many years. I remember Lewis at Fairview Elementary and Mollie at C.P. Clare when I worked in the summer after high school before entering college. Margaret has traveled many lonely miles and years without Malvin. Now they are together forever. To Phil and his family plus the surviving siblings my deepest sympathy.
