Margaret Lamb Maxwell

Margaret Lamb Maxwell, 97, of Arden, died on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Elderberry Health Care Center, in Marshall. A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Maxwell was a daughter of the late Isaac and Necie Lamb. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel Dees, and by her second husband, John Washington Maxwell. Mrs. Maxwell was a member of Cornerstone Church. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Triplett and husband Bill, of Alexander, Pam Randle and husband Frank, of Arden, Sharon Olsen and husband Bob, of Hickory, and Carol MacLean and husband Duart, of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren, Kimberly Gregory, Sandra Billips, Samantha Hillyer, Jennifer Jones, Daniel Triplett, and Jamie Olsen; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Orr, David Orr, Savannah Cook, Cierra Ikard, Nathaniel Billips, and DJ Olsen; and one great-great-grandchild, Rylen Ikard. A graveside service for Mrs. Maxwell will be on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 P.M. prior to the service at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
