A native of Buncombe Co., Marie was a daughter of the late Fred and Loula Morgan Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Israel.
She is survived by her son, Fred Israel (Lynn); grandchildren, Shane Israel, Cam Israel (Angie), and Ashley Smith (Keith); and four great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be held at Snow Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
