Marie T. Hewitt

February 14, 1946 ~ November 23, 1999

Marie Taylor Hewitt, 53, of 31 Cherokee Road, Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 1999, after a long and
courageous battle with Emphysema.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Borden Taylor. She was a member of Luther Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Hewitt Jr.; a daughter Michelle Hewitt of the home; two sisters,
Barbara Prestwood of Leicester, Pansy Clark of Asheville; and two nieces, Amber and Leigh Ann.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Reverend Betty Drake will officiate with burial following in Pisgah View Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 Wednesday at the funeral home.
