Marie Teresa Miller Minish Pressley

Marie Teresa Miller Minish Pressley, 70, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025.

A native of Onslow Co. NC, Marie was the daughter of the late R.W. Sr., and Hattie Lou Neighbors Miller. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Robert “Bobby” Minish, and by her grandson, Miles Pressley.

She worked as a diamond setter at Norton Diamond Tool for many years before her retirement to full-time grandmother. Mrs. Pressley was well known to her community for her loving spirit. She was a grandmother to all who needed her and was simply known as “Nana” by many.

Her memory lives on with her husband, James Darrell Pressley, Sr.; her siblings; Vivian Bugg, Richard Westley Miller, Jr., and the Rev. Alf B. Miller; her children; Christy Marie Minish Miller and Connie Minish Rogers (James Carl Rogers), James D. Pressley, Jr. (Catrina), Jennifer Pressley, Jessica Pressley, and Jeffrey Pressley; her grandchildren: Hali Shaylene Luck (James Allen Luck, Jr.), Cora Hannah Minish, Kayla Nichole Wheeler Plemmons (Kaine Plemmons), Brittany Morgan Pressley (Trent Smith), Casey Aaron Pressley (Keely Passmore), Joshua Andrew Pressley (Cassidy Bailey), Dylan Quinton McFalls, Gavin Richman, Riley Richman, Courtney Williams, Katelyn Williams, Tristan Pressley; and her great-grandchildren; James Allen Luck, III, Bristol Smith, Hannah Smith, Nathaniel Pressley, Violet Pressley, Cohen Pressley, and Ashton Hill.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13 in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. Those in attendance will be invited to share a brief memory or thought during the service. The family will receive friends following the service.

Burial will take place on Monday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
