Marie W. Summers

She was born in Ogden, Utah and is the daughter of the late George F. & Ella Peterson Wakefield, and wife of the late Clifford Leslie Summers.

She was an Honorary life member of the South Dade Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Whispering Pines Woman's Club, the Ikebana International, a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the South Dade Mental Health.

She is survived by her two sons; Steve Summers of Asheville, NC; and Michael Summers of Acworth, Ga; three grandchildren; Stephanie, Scott and James Summers; two brothers; Dewight and Sherrell Wakefield of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, with the Rev. Jan Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Woodland Park Cemetery in Miami.
