Asheville Butterfly TrailMarion Dean Stone, 75, of Fairview, NC passed away December 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Stone and Edith Stewart.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Dean is survived by life long partner of 48 years, Gary Harper of Fairview, NC.
Dean was a professional hair stylist and worked 30 years in the profession in Greenville, SC and owned his own shop in Asheville at Backstage Hair Designs.
He loved his dog, Toby, and Toby will miss him.

My heart is broken since your passing. The tears keep flowing and the heart ache is so hard to bear. I know you are in Heaven, with your Mother, family and all your friends who passed before you. Gary, I am so sorry to read this and it makes my heart hurt for you. You and Dean were special people to my family, and I know the bond between you both was strong for each other.
