Mark Anthony Cornette, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 12, 2022, at his home in Lenoir.

Mark was born July 27, 1974, in Asheville to Raymond Carroll Cornette and the late Meriam Josephine “Jo” Deweese Cornette, and he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Cornette. Mark was a graduate of Enka High School and had worked as an electrician, an HVAC technician and as a driver for Skyland Distributors. He was a member of the Rolling Saints Riding Club.

He is survived by his father, Raymond C. Cornette, a sister, Ginger Hollar (Norman), nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Hannah, Rachel, Luke, Elijah, Austin and Troy; a great-niece Evelynn and a great-nephew, Jeff.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Holcombe Branch Cemetery near Barnardsville.

Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Directions to Holcombe Branch Cemetery:
Take 19/23 to Barnardsville/Jupiter Exit and make a right
Travel 3.9 miles, pass D&D Grocery
Make a left onto Holcombe Branch
Travel 1.8 miles, pass Seven Glens subdivision (on your right)
Make a left onto an unmarked/unpaved road
Travel 200 yards to the 1st driveway on the right.
