Mary Ann West Teague, 86, died on Thursday, April 2, 2020.

Mary was born on July 13, 1933. She was daughter of the late William McKinley and Kathleen Lucy Hampton West. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert “Carroll” Teague; sister, June McIntyre; brothers, Jerry, Bruce and David West and his Ann; and brother-in-law, Lowell Parks.

Mrs. Teague is survived by three children, Robert Derrick and wife Ila, Karen Ray and husband Ronnie, and Sharon Smith and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and wife Natalie, Jared Teague and wife Lauren, Daphne Warman and husband Rich, and Olivia Stack and husband Kevin; two great-grandchildren, Eli and Peyton, and baby Stack on the way; sisters, Kathy Parks, Nellie Brinkley and husband Larry; brothers, Maurice West and wife Betty, and Stewart West; sister-in-law, Stella West; and brother-in-law, R.F. McIntyre.

A private burial will be held at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund, 373 N. Turkey Creek Rd., Leicester, NC 28748.

    I am so sorry for your loss. What a joyous lady! I took her cake decorating class at AB Tech. We spent a lot of time together because I was a challenge. She was very patient with me because I was the only one that was left handed. Praying for the family.

  10. So sorry to hear this this morning. I remember when I was about 12 and we came down to eat home made ice cream and carol and I were in a contest to see who could eat the most and if memory serves me correctly I won. I’ve will have you in my prayers during this difficult time and she always showed the Love of Christ and we will see her again.
