Mary Etta Creasman Tschiffely, 68, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
An Asheville native, Mary was a daughter of the late Richard Fletcher, Sr., and Dorothy Louise Chandler Creasman. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Denise Tschiffely, and brother, Richard Fletcher Creasman, Jr.
Mary graduated from Enka High School, Class of ’74. She met her husband of 48 years, Martin, while working at Vanderbilt Shirt Co., and later worked at Poor’s Flower Center, Brendle’s, and South Atlantic Distributing.
Mrs. Tschiffely is survived by her husband, Martin Jerome Tschiffely; sisters, Ruby Dean Creasman Eure and Ann Creasman Allison; grandson, Jeremiah Trace Tschiffely; nephews, Casey and Matthew Eure, Tony Creasman and Farrell Herren; and niece, Stephanie Herren.
Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Dear Martin and Family,
My heart is broken to hear of Mary’s passing. We were best friends from 4th grade and stayed in touch for many years. She was a sweet and caring person who loved her family. You will be in my prayers in the days to come. May the Lord bring you comfort and peace.
