Mary "Faye" Nesbitt

Mary Faye Earwood Nesbitt, 96, of Fairview, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1st, 2024.

Faye was the daughter of the late Chester and Esther Lanning Earwood of Fairview. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 76 years, David Nelson Nesbitt; one brother, Chester Earwood; two sisters, Lena Owenby and Dovie Williams Waldrup; two grandsons, Mark Shane Nesbitt and Donnie Ryan Russell, and a son-in-law, Gordon Young.

Faye was a loving wife, Mother and Nanny. She was a devoted homemaker and seamstress. She is survived by her four children, David Nesbitt (Sherry) of Fairview, Glenda Nesbitt of Fairview, Kaye Young of Greer, SC, and Wanda White (Steve) of Candler;11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, a special niece, Loretta Hooper and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Brian Sipes officiating. Burial will follow in Emma’s Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. At all other times the family will be at the home place of David and Faye Nesbitt at 40 Lytle Rd Fletcher, NC.

The children would like to give special thanks to two granddaughters, Faye Gregory and Kelsey Anders, our wonderful medical staff and caregivers: Michelle, Sonya, and all Four Seasons staff.
