Mary Flo Sentelle, 75, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 26, at her home in West Asheville.
Mary Flo was a daughter of the late Harry and Frederica Ingle Sentelle and she was a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy. She was an avid UNC fan and considered Coach Roy Williams a personal friend.
She had worked in several pharmacies in the Asheville area, including B&B Pharmacy, Eckerd's, and most recently with CVS, where she retired.
She is survived by several cousins as well as her church family at Grace Baptist Church where she was an active member for many years.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Steve Ackerman and Mr. Rick Ramsey on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church.
Her family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 718 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
I can’t express how much I will miss her. There are just no adequate words. Her devotion to the choir, the music and her church family has sustained us many times. Mary Flo, you are loved.

Mary Flo will be missed by so many people especially at Grace. She showed so much love by helping people get to and from church and taking people to places they needed to go. She seemed to enjoy helping others. She also loved the children and was always giving hugs and encouragement. We will miss her greatly.

Mary Flo will be greatly missed by many neighbors and friends who loved her. God has called another good soul to be with him, and we know she is happy to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The number of lives she has touched is countless. Between the drug stores, the church, her West Asheville community, she helped so many of us. She will be missed. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have known such a fine lady. Beth & Tommy Tuten
I will miss you Mary, you are the Lords’ best member to sang your heart out. We will hear you.
Grace will celebrate this kind lady’s life Saturday and try to understand her
passing. We do know the love she had for Grace and she showed it.
Last weekend we felt the love as she came to the yard sale and showed
off her sweet dog. Sunday she was in her church, playing the piano before Sunday school, singing in choir, and having lunch with her dear friends.
We are all in shock and stressed but acknowledge God has our time
schedule not us. So until we meet her in Heaven lets rejoice in her life we had with her.
What a loss to her many friends and Grace Church. Don’t have the words to say how much she will be missed.
You will be greatly missed. We love you

I am so sorry for your loss. I wanted to leave your family a comforting scripture during this time. Revelation 21:4- ‘And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will tmourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’
Dear Family, I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. My sincere condolences to you. May you think of the many beautiful memories that you shared with Mary, and cherish those precious moments. May the God of all comfort caress your heart with his living promise to one day reunite you together again in the future paradise mentioned at Revelation 21: 4,5. Our Dear Heavenly Father Jehovah (Psalms 83:18 )knows the many tears you cry and he will sustain you if you let him. I was thinking of you and hoping that you can find comfort during this difficult time. Â

Mary Flo was my neighbor for very a long time and I will miss her greatly. She welcomed me into her neighborhood and community and stayed in touch after I moved away, always a welcome and loving soul when I returned to visit or called to catch up. It was a fortunate thing that I was able to see her last month. I will miss you Mary and am so sad, but I know you are at peace. And not to worry, your sweet dog is being taken care of just as you wished and planned. God bless.

Mary has been our neighbor for the past 2 1/2 years and we would see her almost everyday, walking her Freddie Jo at least twice a day and she would comment on how our little boy is growing. She was one of the kindest, sweetest ladies I have ever met. She was more than a neighbor to me and my husband but a wonderful funny lady. She loved her Tar Heels and even got our son an outfit. I already miss her terribly and not seeing her daily is sad. I know she is in a great place and with the rest of her loved ones. She is truly missed by our family.
We will miss Mary. We have known her for years and know that she was very special. She was always cheerful and concerned for others. Our sympathy to her family,
so sad use to mow your grass
I was Mary’s hairdresser and have been for many years. She had the thickest waviest hair I’ve ever tried to cut! lol! Mary loved her church family, her fellow choir members and her precious Freddie Jo. She was a wonderful person and I will miss seeing her!
