Mary "Fran" Capps

Mary "Fran" Gosselin Capps, 78, of Asheville, died Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the Laurels of Summit Ridge. A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jessie Rhodes Holmes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde "Bud" Capps, on January 17, 2011, and by sons Clyde Scott Capps on February 1, 2013, and David Capps on May 16, 1997. Mrs. Capps was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She is survived by grandchildren Michael Capps, Alex Capps, and Gracie Capps; sister Jackie Camby and husband Frank of Marion; brothers Ned Gosselin and wife Martha of Mt. Morris, Michigan, and Bob Holmes of Fletcher; nephews Darrell Camby of Marion, Darren Holmes of Fletcher; nieces Wendy Lou, Cindy Lee, and Mary Frances, all of Michigan; and special niece Kathey Camby of Marion. A private memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013, in the Tunnel Rd. chapel of Groce Funeral Home.
