She was born in Madison County, NC, on May 26, 1935, to Walter Brown and Pearl Clark who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Norman Burnette.
She is survived by her niece and nephew, James and Tonia Mann of Asheville.
Mary Lee was a housewife and was very proud of her husband’s military service of 30 years. She loved the color pink, classical country music, and loved her Irises.
A graveside service is planned for Monday, May 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with the burial following in the Skyview Memorial Park with the Rev. Allen Rash officiating.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.
