Matthew Scott Alexander

Matthew Scott Alexander, 36, of 932 West Chapel Road, Asheville, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at his home. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Barbara Ann Wilson Alexander and the late Robert Eugene Alexander. He was a talented artist, a former manager at Circuit City and Rex Audio/Video and attended Trinity Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Robert David Alexander and his wife Donna of Asheville; grandmother, Reva Wilson; aunts and uncles, Joyce and Jack Blazer, Betty and Harold Wright, Jan and Dick Alexander and Nancy and Dr. Larry Monteith; and a nephew, Zachary Wright. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Lewis Memorial Park with the Revs. Jerry Young and Doug Guy officiating. His family will recceive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
