Mattie Francis Stephens, born in Lake Victor, TX, on September 22, 1904, died at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home, Candler, on January 4, 2002. She is survived by her two daughters, Billie Stewart of Asheville and Martha Sue McElligott of El Paso, TX and four grandchildren, Stephen Ackerman of Asheville, Terri Ackerman of Silver Spring, MD, Kristin McElligott of Austin, TX and Kyle McElligott of El Paso, TX. Burial will be in Burnet, TX. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
