Maura Elizabeth Angel went to meet Jesus on the evening of Sunday, August 25th, 2024.
Maura was an incredible daughter, sister, and aunt. The greatest accomplishment of her life was bringing joy to the lives of those around her. Although non-verbal, her communication style was to smile, giggle, laugh, and hug those she interacted with daily. She brought peace, joy, and love to so many people in this world.
Maura is survived by her mother Carolyn, father William, brothers Jacob and Joshua, her two loving sisters-in-law, Sandra and Anna, and niece Addie. Her circle of love also extended to the entire Swaim family, the Peachey family, and the Bedoya family. Also, the family wanted to thank her long-term care-giver Janine Strickland for the many years of love and service.
Maura loved attending the PEP program at T.C. Roberson. She had many friends among her peers but was loved by so many teachers/staff in the program.
Maura’s family will receive family and friends at Groce Funeral Home, 1401 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806 for the following services:
Visitation: Thursday, August 29, from 6PM – 8PM.
Funeral Service: Friday, August 30, at 1PM. Graveside services immediately following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Flowers in remembrance of Maura are welcome. However, donations to the Progressive Education Program at T.C. Roberson High School, 250A Overlook Rd., Asheville, NC 28803 would be appreciated.
