I’m so heartbroken that Aunt Melba has gone on. No one knows how many times she checked on me and brought me food when I came home from the hospital. We talked for hours on the phone. We were both night owls. But I know I will see her again one day. I pray that God will comfort all of you and the grandkids right now. I know that it is a big loss to all of us. Love all of you. You made her proud of you.

  14. Dear Debbie, Denise and family, It is hard to give up, even to Jesus, someone as precious as Melba! I know it’s a bittersweet time for you all. Before time and age took darling Melba to another place she had more fun, laughter and life in that tiny body than most people ever possessed! Homecoming was always made more special with your family there. However, losing her is bitter because she was so loved, as was your dad, it’s sweet because now she’ll never suffer again and she’s with Jesus, your dad, and her family and friends.
Chuck and my prayers are with all the family. We love you dearly.

  15. Debbie, Mandy, Doug and Family, we were so sorry to hear about Melba. Keeping all of you in our prayers during this difficult time.

  16. Debbie, Denise, Mandy and families. Your mother meant so much to me. I loved her and so enjoyed the times I spent with her. She always said she was my second mama and I always saw her as such. She was such a wonderful person and man she could make some awesome homemade rolls. She tried to teach me how but hers were always better than mine. I know you will all miss her but heaven is a little bit brighter now. I love you all and am praying for you.

  17. Praying for you all during this time. I have so very many fond memories and I will treasure them always. May God give you peace and comfort during this time!

  18. Debbie, Denise, Mandy and family! My deepest sympathy for the loss of your mom. She would always greet you with a smile, and always dressed so pretty. I still think of Mr. Trantham and his little store. He introduced me and Penny to bologna. May God bless you, and give you peace and comfort.
