Michael Dean Parham

Michael Dean Parham, 36, of Barnard Avenue, Asheville, died Thursday, February 12, 2009. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of Christine (Regina) Smith Parham and the late Robert Junior Parham and was also preceded in death by a son, Nathan William Parham. He had worked in the meat department at Ingles and more recently had worked in construction. In addition to his mother, Mr. Parham is survived by his children, Michael Christopher Parham, Kendall Marie Parham, Kristen Leona Parham and Courtney Dawn Parham; the mother of his children, Felicia Parham; his fiancee, Teresa Ennis; best friend, Bobby Hensley, a great-aunt and several cousins. Funeral services will be 5:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack Rhodes, Jr. officiating. Burial will be private at Smith Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Groce Funeral Home, 1401 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806.
