Mildred Louise Craig Morgan, 83, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 31, 2020.
She was born in Asheville and is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard C. Morgan, Sr. and a daughter, Cathy Kuykendall. She was a homemaker, child care giver and a member of the Swannanoa Church of God.
If you knew her you loved her.
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Lowe (Jim) of Fairview, Karla Johnson (Joel) of Asheville; Kay Beachboard (David) of Asheville; son Leonard C. Morgan, Jr. (Carol) of East Moline, IL; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; a sister, Delia Morrow of Swannanoa; brother, Henry Jones of Black Mountain; and many, many more loving family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Kuykendall, grandson, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swannanoa Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 314, Swannanoa, NC, 28778.
Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.

I was sad to see that Mildred had passed away. But I know that she is so happy rejoicing with the Savior that she loved so much and talked daily about. I was so honored to have helped in her care for the last year or so. She loved all of you dearly and we spoke daily of how fortunate that she was for having such a supportive family. Will be praying for you in the days ahead that God will be near to each and give you peace that only He can provide.
I will always think of her as my Aunt Mildred.I love an will miss her dearly .Because of health reason couldn’t visit her often.RIP .Tell all loved one hello ,give my love an kisses.
Aunt Mildred was a gentle influence in faith for me over the years. Loved writing letters with her. She raised a fine bunch of girls!!!! Praying for you all. Wish I could be there with you.
A precious Godly friend who I will miss very much, she had a heart after God and enough love for everyone who knew her. My prayers are with all of her family, God comfort each of you and I will meet her again soon on that day God takes me Home.
