Mildred Frady

Mildred Louise Rice Frady, 84, formerly of Michigan Avenue, died Friday, October 10, 2014. Born in Greenville, TN, Mrs. Frady was a daughter of the late Arthur M. and Laura Tarlton Rice. She was married to Vernon J. Frady, who died in 1999, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Frady. She was a member of Faith Assembly Church of Asheville prior to her declining health. She is survived by her children, Jimmy R. Frady of Bullhead City, AZ, Geneva F. West and husband Milas West, Jr. of Etowah, David D. Frady, Sr. of Fairview and Linda Phillips and husband Michael Phillips of Asheville; sister, Betty Baldwin and husband Roger Baldwin of Etowah; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue with the Rev. Keith Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
