Mildred June Bolding Babb, 92, of Arden NC died October 19, 2025.

Born in Lyman SC on March 23, 1933 she was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She married Joe R. Babb in 1950, and together they raised three children. She was a talented quilter and produced elegant decorative cross stitch pieces. She was the thread that stitched together a supportive and loving family. She was a giving and grateful soul who loved to sing and was inspired by hymns and a good choir. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Rev. Joe Babb.

She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Richard A.(Pam), Donald W. (Cathy ), Timothy M. (Barbara); six grandchildren, Erin Babb (Bill Kern), Dylan Babb (Nathan Zumwalt), Kristen Spinder (Chris), Heather Graham (Brian) and Aleshia Delaney (Chris) and Cameron Babb; eight great grandchildren, Liam Kern, James and Luke Spinder, June and Elliot Zumwalt, Emma and Eli Graham, and Ava Delaney and nephews, Jack Bolding and Ronald Guilmett.

After a private graveside service, the family will receive visitors at the home at 8 Summit Dr, Arden NC, from 2PM until 4PM on Thursday, October 23.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Manna Food Bank, Mills River NC.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family.
