Whoever she came into contact with she made feel very welcome. When I saw Mr. Byrd&Mrs.Byrd I saw two people who really love eachother and knew god was first in their lifes. We will miss her and I hope this time of lose god will fill your hearts with the love that surrounded Mrs.Byrd. Our prayers from my family go out to you. Mr. Byrd over the years I have always said you was the best boss that anyone could have.I know the family will miss her but remember she is in a place where she has perpared herself for all her life.

  18. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all the family. Oh how we loved to watch and hear Ms. Molly play the piano at West Asheville Baptist…. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. Her love for God,her church and her family was very evident. Several years ago we had ‘premie’ grandbabies and she asked that I call at the church and give her reports from time to time on them….at which I did and she was so comforting to me…… She was truly a Child of God and someday we will see and hear her playing the piano in heaven…. ‘WHAT A DAY OF REJOICING THAT WILL BE’
    Our Prayers are with you.

Our precious Molly has closed her eyes to this world and our prayers go out to you for your loss. Her good works will follow her, but they also remain here to inspire all of us to love one another more openly and to walk more closely with our Lord and Savior, Jesus.
May it comfort you to realize she suffers no more, she now knows only peace, love and joy…and that her life was richer and brighter because of your love for her. John 11:25 & 26

  25. Bill, Melanie, Mike and Melissa —
May the balm of Christ heal the breakage of your hearts. We weep for ourselves at the loss of beautiful, Molly Byrd, though death will not take her fully away. For she lives in the great legacy of her family, in every way her music and the light of her kindness have shone in this life, and in the memory of how she changed us all with her gentle way.

I carry a part of that sweet lady through my life to this day, for the love she showed to me years ago is fixed upon my soul. Molly Byrd proves no love ever goes to waste. It lasts in those to whom it is given. I thank our sweet God for her, and for all of you, as I pray for peace and every divine goodness to come your way, in the comfort of the Christ who knows us, and who — out of love — put death itself to rest.

If I can be of any use, any help at all, at any time, please call on me.
You are all family to me, as is dear Molly, always.

Warmest love and grace and wishing the best of memories to you all,

    Michael Cogdill

    2 Corinthians 12:9

  28. Dear Bill and Family,

Words cannot express the love and gratitude we feel for precious Molly. God used her in a powerful way in our lives personally and in our work together at North Point Baptist Church. We will always be grateful that God allowed us the past few years to labor together.

Molly did so much, yet never looked to gain glory for herself. She selflessly gave of her time and talent for the Lord and for eternal purposes. She will be greatly missed; but we rejoice knowing that her suffering is over, yet her service continues in Heaven. We thank God that He allowed her to be such an instrumental part of North Point Baptist Church. Her legacy will continue to live on.

Thank you for sharing her with us, and we look forward to seeing her again. May God bless you during this time. Our prayers are with you.

    Gray and Paula Little

  29. Dear Bill, Melanie, Mike, and Melissa,
We were so saddened to learn of Molly’s death. What a precious friend she was to us in our early married years. We thought so much of your family. And we enjoyed our work with Molly at Weaverville Baptist. She embodied what a church musician should be. We saw evidenced in her life the fruits of the Holy Spirit and the power of Christ at work. She was truly a very special person. We have been praying for her at our church and will continue to lift you all up to our Father in prayer. May He hold you close in His love and comfort you with His peace right now.

  30. To Bill&Family, I have had the priviledge to work with some great people over my life and Molly was at the top of the list of fellow co-workers that were very instrumental in helping as a servant/ team player to reach goals that at times we thought we never pull off. Her outside appearence was always a statement to her thougts of her inner self. She was a beautiful christian lady that loved her God, family and the people in her community. I count it a blessing for the opportunity to have worked with her at Wilcox Travel for 6 years. She was a very special person that I will look forward in seeing at Jesus feet in heaven. God bless the family that I know will greatly miss her here. Proverbs 31.

  31. To Molly’s family: I am so sorry to learn of her bout with cancer. We were friends in high school and learned our parents had already been friends. May God comfort you in your grief. She was a lovely, talented lady. Most sincerely, Mary Jordan
