Naomia Crisp Jordan, 79, of Asheville, passed away Monday, January 22, 2007, at her home, surrounded by family and friends after a long, courageous battle with cancer. A native of Buncombe County, she devoted her life to raising her children. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Smith Crisp. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda "Sister" Emery, (1996), a sister, Dorthy Wells (2006), and a great-grandson, Korey Owens (2006). Surviving are two daughters, Faye Youngberg and her husband, Bruce, and Donna Owens and her husband, Ronnie; four sons, Gene Jordan and his girlfriend, Leslie, Bobby Jordan, Lark Jordan, and Eddie Jordan and his girlfriend, Tammy; three brothers, Jack Crisp, Bo Crisp and his wife, Doris, and Johnny Crisp and his wife, Pat, all of Asheville; special son-in-law, Raymond Emery and his wife, Judy; special nephews, Lewis Hollifield and his wife, Pat, David Hollifield, and several other nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Tracy Wells and her husband Ray, Alan Youngberg, Eddie Jordan and his wife, Casey, Linda and Nikki Angel, Robbie Emery and his wife, Tabitha, Jeff Emery, Amanda Sprouse, Bobby, Michael and Mark Jordan, Lark Jordan, Gene, Chris, Christy, Marvin, Jeremy, Gina, Brittney, and Tyler Jordan; step-grandchildren, Michael and Dawn Boyd, and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger A. Kuykendall officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7?8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to MaryBeth Moscinski and Susan Lindsey for their care given to Naomia during her illness.
