Nathan Jack Turner

A native of Laurens, SC, Mr. Turner was a son of the late John and Clara Moore Turner and the husband of Ellen Walker Turner. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Case, Maude Shultz and Grace Wilson and three brothers, Donald Turner, Larry Denver Turner and Arnold Turner.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Turner was a mechanic and part owner of Biltmore Truck & Brake. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Turner is survived by a daughter, Marguerite Laughter and her husband, Ronnie, of Arden and five nephews.
A mililtary graveside service will be held at the WNC Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain on Thursday, February 22 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Roger Rearden officiating. Buncombe County Veterans Council will conduct military honors
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 PM Wednesday evening, February 21 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. He will certainly be missed by his loved ones.
