Nell West Wells

Nell L. Wells, 84, of 26 Townview Drive, Asheville, died Sunday, January 26, 2003, at her home. Mrs. Wells was born in Madison County and was a daughter of the late Lattie C. and Gertie Mae Davis West. She was married to the late Royal Lee Wells and was a member of Emma Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and quilter and a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Trudy Waycaster of Asheville; three sons, Jack Wells of Kennesaw, GA, Jim Wells of Monroe, and Steve Wells of the home; a brother, Harvey West of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at the funeral home.
