Ollie Wright Guffey

Fairview ~ Ollie Wright Guffey, 87, of Fairview died on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Elizabeth House Hospice. A native of Fairview, Mrs. Guffey was the daughter of the late Tate and Elizabeth Adeline Duckett Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, Farlan C. Guffey in 1998 and a brother, Vollie Wright. She is survived by a sister, Blanche Hensley of Eden, NC; sister-in-law, Garnold Kelly of Fairview, NC; two brothers-in-law, Perry and Gordon O. Guffey both of Fairview; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with the Rev. Norris Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
