Pamela Joan Holt, 56, died Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals. Miss Holt was born in Greensboro, NC, and was a 1976 graduate of Reynolds High School. She most recently worked as an in home care provider following her retirement from Buncombe Co. Schools. She also spent many years at Mission Hospital and at Charles D. Owen Manufacturing. She was a member of Gashes Creek Baptist Church for many years. She will be loved and missed by an extremely large community of friends and family of all generations. She is survived by her parents, George W. Holt, Sr. and Cathryn Holt, and her son, Clifton Scott Holt, all of Asheville; sisters, Wynne Clarke Anderson and husband Harvey of Soddy Daisy, TN, and Teresa Holt Cowan and husband Mike of Asheville; a brother, George W. Holt, Jr. and wife Kelly of Fort Worth, TX; nieces, Nancy Kathryn Clarke and Allison Holt; nephews, Luke Clarke, Joshua Hembree and Trey Holt; and by her friend and life companion, her dog, Patches. A receiving of friends and celebration of life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, at Beverly Hills Baptist Church with an informal tribute beginning at 6:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to the Salvation Army in memory of Pam Holt. Let us continue to spread her love and passion for children as we give in her memory during this holiday season. Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting with the arrangements.

  1. You will be sorely missed my Sister Pam…… I will always remember all the good times growing up with you….. even though we weren’t blood related, we were very close….. I love you and have peace in knowing we will be together again in Heaven!

  2. im so sorry for the loss of pam what a great lady she was i didnt get too see her much but i but i did see her out ocasionally from time to time ,i had too great friends in school and that was her and zondra moore .but i think GOD needed her for his angel .may GOD comfort pam family during this time of grief .and one day we will see her again .i will miss you pam .ds

  6. Clifton & the Holt family.. I was so very saddened to hear of Pam’s passing. I rememeber her always smiling and laughing. It was wonderful knowing each other as our kids grew up and went to school togather. May you find comfort in knowing she is with the Lord. I pray His comfort and peace for you all.

  8. My prayers and sympathy go to the Holt family. I was so sad to hear of Pam’s passing. Pam and I went to school together at ACR. I had gotten back in touch with Pam through facebook. I pray that God wraps His arms around the family during this tragic time and you can hold on to the wonderful memories. Until we meet again Pam have a great time in heaven.

  9. Prayers to the whole family. I grew up with Pam and her brother, George and remember many trips to the beach with the church group…I know my mom, Barbara Morningstar, will welcome her in Heaven!
