Patricia Bryson Meadows, 69, of 10 Redfern Street, Asheville, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Meadows was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Wendell Holmes and Nell Miller Bryson, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband Graham D. “Jaybird” Meadows who died in 1994 and by a daughter, Nancy McCanless who died in 1999. She was retired from American Enka, was an active member of the VFW Post 3040 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen B. O’Rear and her fiance Roger Roberts, and Carol Ann Miall of Asheville and Peggy M. Moore and her husband Rick of Candler; two sons, Joe Meadows of Asheville and Jim Meadows and his wife Susan of Plainfield, IL; a sister, Mary Ann Becker of Lewisville; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. James H. Johnson officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
