Patricia Capps Mortier

Patricia Capps Mortier, 83, formerly of Weaverville, died on Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Elizabeth House. A native of Madison Co., Mrs. Mortier was a daughter of the late Henry Earl and Pearl Randall Capps. She was also preceded in death by her sons, George Richard Brady, Larry, and William; sisters, Mary and Hazel; and brothers, Roy and Don. Mrs. Mortier is survived by her children, Tina, David and Donald (Sue) Mortier; sisters, Nina Gillespie (Junior), and Relda Capps; brother, Ralph Capps (Mary); grandchildren, Toni Shipman, Richard, Travis, Olivia, Sam and Gabriel Mortier, Christy, Candy, Carrie and Charles "Bubba" Brady; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mortier was the former manager of the Mountain Terrace Mobile Home Park in Weaverville. A funeral service for Mrs. Mortier will be held on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. Her family will receive friends at the home of Nina Gillespie, 1755 Bear Creek Road, Leicester from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Sunday and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Groce Funeral Home.
