Fletcher –Patricia Josephine "Pat" Wilkie, 79, of Fletcher, died after a lingering illness on Friday, June 17, 2011 at John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center.
A native of Chicago IL, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Frances Harrington Donovan. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael A. Wilkie, who died in 1999.
Pat lived in Griffith, IN until she and her husband retired to Fletcher in 1983. She was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, William F. Wilkie; three daughters, Lynn Kaplon and her husband Bruce, of Hebron, IN, Patti Thornton and her husband Brian, of Ruskin, FL and Kristin Cochran of Sanford, NC; two sons, William C. Wilkie of Hanna, IN and Timothy G. Wilkie of Hayward, WI; one sister, Kay Marciniak of Western Springs, IL; three granddaughters, two grandsons and one great-grandson.
A Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the family receiving friends from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday. Burial will be at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Pat's memory to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

Mr. Wilkie and Lynn, Patti, Tim, Kristen and William I am so sorry for the lost of your mom my prayers are with you.
I am so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time. My mother and Pat were very close friends and she will be missed dearly. God bless you all.
