Patricia Joyce TerBeek

patricia terbeek
Patricia "Tricia" Joyce TerBeek, 21, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 14, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Born in Wilmington, she received her GED from AB Technical College and also attended Greenville College. She was a smart, beautiful girl who had lots to live for. She cared more about her family and friends than her own well-being. If she set her mind to something, it was getting done and nothing was going to stand in her way. She was respected by the way she carried herself and didn't take crap from anyone. She was beyond talented, doing everything from basketball to unicycling. Selflessness was something Patricia portrayed every day. She admirably gave over half her wardrobe to the homeless. Her heart was gold and she changed so many lives for the better. Patricia left a giant hole in the hearts of her beloved. She's in a better place now, reunited with Knox (her dog) along with the others that have passed away over the years. She's looking down on all of us and tho we can't see her, we know she is there. Patricia will always be in our hearts and minds. "I can't wait to see you again. You have always made me a better person and I will continue to live out my life the way you expected me to. We will be reunited in the Kingdom of Heaven and I can't wait to give you a huge hug. I will always love you, Patricia." She is survived by her parents, Phil and Donna TerBeek; brother, Phillip TerBeek; grandma, Colleen TerBeek; uncles, Jack TerBeek and Wayne Morrison; aunt, Susan Morrison, and cousins, Brianne and Amanda TerBeek and Rissa Rinde and Quinn Morrison. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. The family will receive friends following the service. Father Matthew Leonard will officiate. Memorials may be made to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 8195, Asheville, NC; or to Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, P.O. Box 909, Asheville, NC, 28802.
