Pearl Burch Knight, 67, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Asheville, died Thursday, September 29, 2005.
A native of Shannon, GA, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Clemmie Pearl Turner Burch. She has been reunited with the love of her life, her husband Herbert Knight, who died in 2000; a sister, Maxine Burch; two brothers, Jesse Burch and Oscar Burch. She was a retired nurse from Asheville Gastroenterology and a member of Oakley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Monica Gallagher and her husband Terry of Knoxville; two sons, David Knight of Asheville and Lamar Knight and his wife Kathy of Spartanburg; two brothers, Roy Burch and his wife Ruby of GA and Ernest Burch and his wife Pat of GA; two sisters, Geneva Culberson of GA and Elizabeth Rochester and her husband Curtis of GA; a sister-in-law, Faye Burch of GA; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Barry Culberson officiating. Burial will follow at Acton UMC Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801 or to Caris Healthcare, 9051 Executive Park Drive, Suite 401, Knoxville, TN 37923.
