Polly Rice Adams, 87, of Hendersonville, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

A native of Asheville, Polly was a daughter of the late Elzie Rice and Cassie Rhymer Rice. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Thomas Adams, and by her sisters, Pegge Vines and Brenda Murray; Niece Cathy Lee Lewakowski

Polly married Calvin Adams on January 19, 1971. She retired as Registrar from Mission Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. She lived in Melbourne, FL until moving to Hendersonville.

Surviving are her nieces, Melanie Rice and Whitney Ponder; and nephew Jack Vines.

The family would like to express special thanks to caregivers Christine, Kriss, Hatcher, Martha and Vernile.

Graveside services for Mrs. Adams will be held on Monday, January 25, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Council on Aging of Buncombe County, 46 Sheffield Circle, Asheville, NC 28803, and/or to Meals on Wheels, 146 Victoria Rd., Asheville, NC 28801.
