Randy Kenneth Newman, 56, of Fairview, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 14, 2019.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of Marie Violet King Ketner and of the late Harold Ketner.
Randy was a true lover of the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed wood working, landscaping and gardening and was a skilled handyman who could fix anything.
In addition to his mother, Randy is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Lisa Dianne Wells Newman; one sister, Sona Newman; two brothers, Rick Newman and Darryl Newman; his mother-in-law, Pat Wells and two brothers-in-law, Mark Wells and David Wells.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 17 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Pastor Jimmy Page officiating. Burial will follow at Cane Creek Cemetery and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, his family graciously asks that memorial donations be made to the Western North Carolina Nature Center (www.wildwnc.org).

Randy was a good man I worked with him at Jcrew and yes he was a talented man I enjoy my windchimes.You will be missed fly high my friend.
