Reeves Estus Suttles, 79, of Leicester, died Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Farida and Julie Surrett Suttles.
Mr. Suttles was a local businessman of 51 years. He was a beloved friend of the community who was known for his giving heart.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Ambrose Suttles; a daughter, Angie Suttles; three sons, Paul Rector, Steve Suttles, and Steve Rector; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Carmel Suttles and Forrest Suttles; and a nephew, Stewart Roberts.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Sandy Mush Community Center, 90 School Rd., Leicester, NC 28748, with funeral services following at 3:00 p.m. at the Community Center. Interment will be at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, abta.org.
