Robert Stuyvesant Hubbs, 96, of 272 Brevard Road, Asheville, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at his residence.
A native of Chestertown, NY, he was a son of the late Courtes Taylor and Emma Walters Hubbs. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army Air Corps and was a retired self-employed paint contractor.
Mr. Hubbs is survived by his wife, Marian Menten Hubbs.
Funeral services will be 6:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home conducted by Nichols-West Asheville Masonic Lodge. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the NC Masonic Memorial Foundation.
